On the right track

On Saturday, due to technical issues, my journey south was delayed by a couple of hours, and the journey by train took twice as long. However, this allowed me to read my proof copy to see what was missed. The train trip up allowed me to read over 75 pages. The journey home was just as long, and by the end of the day, I had read 140 pages. That is over a quarter of the book. I should be finished reading the book by the March, this means April the book will be released as Paperback.

I have also made plans to try to sell physical copies of my book. I made the commitment to attend the event in which 100s of people will be around to see my book and ask questions. Now I have to wait and see. Trying to find ways to promote the book online will be my next challenge.

Marching forward

This month, I plan on reading Immortal and the Hex and seeing if the book is ready to to the next stage and that is having it available on Paperback, however, I am hoping that more people will be interesting in buying the first book before I arrange the second.

There maybe a way to sell my stock of physical copies I ordered from Melbourne, but that won’t be until May. Until then I am waiting for books from Amazon, iTunes and Lulu to be purchased.

It will take at least 2 weeks to read the 500 pages of my story. At the same time I will making page for my website that will introduce the main characters. By the end of March, hopefully things will be progressed to the point where I can be happy with the paperback.

I am halfway through editing the fourth book and halfway through writing the fifth and final book. Things are moving forward.

Progressing Quicker than Planned

Last week was a better week that I could imagine, on Tuesday the 14th, I ordered my Proof Copy of ‘Immortal and the Hex’ and it arrived Friday. Two weeks earlier than I thought. The book was bigger in my hands than I thought, with all 500 pages printed in its beautiful yellow cover. Opening it up in front of my family allowed me to share the excitement with them.

In that same week, I managed to finish a chapter for the fifth book, having the idea in my head for years, it is good to have it out on paper so I can edit and fine tune it. With that being halfway through the fifth book, I need now to plan and plot out the rest of the book, so I can have the fifth book finish the series spectacularly rather than let is sizzle out. I have edited several chapters for the fourth book so over the next two months, I hope to continue to edit and write, so I can than move onto planning when to get a cover.

My next challenge, is working out when to have Book Three available on other online platforms and how to promote it.

Planning and Printing

February is already halfway through, I have continued to make progress with my plan to have book #4 edited by possibly July. I need to pick up the pace though. As for writing the fifth book, that will be a slower process. Need to make each chapter perfect.

I am going to get a preview copy of the paperback for Immortal and the Hex, order a proofing copy, so I can see how it looks, maybe even have a few people read it and give me feedback/reviews. I don’t want to have the book as Paperback unless it is perfect, even if that means delaying the release date for having Paperback.

Now that the third book is no longer kindle direct publishing select, I can organise that to go onto iTunes too. Again that will take some time to make sure it is ready. However with sales been low for the start of 2023, I need to find ways to promote all three books in different ways.

End of January Report

The first month of 2023 is almost over, and my commitment to have the fourth book edited before the end of the year hasn’t changed. Six chapters have been edited for the first time. Twice a week, I dedicate an hour to writing the fifth book and whenever I have spare time, I write some more. The aim is to finish writing the fifth book by December.

I don’t know what 2023 has in store for me, whether I have all the time in the world to write or I have to find just a couple of hours at the end of the day. I don’t know if sales will increase, my readers will double, and more people will follow me on social media. I will continue to post on Instagram and Facebook with updates or quotes, or pictures. It’s too early to tell what will happen with my series.

I plan on having the second book available on Paperback in February once I test what it looks like. That way, people can have a physical copy of the book instead of an Ebook. My biggest fear is that once I have made it available, no one will know about it. The book is available on iTunes and Lulu, yet I don’t know if anyone is buying it there yet, also.

The third book is exclusively available on Amazon until February 8th. After that, the book will be on iTunes too.

Work in Progress

Working on the final book is a delicate process, it has to be perfect. The first book was 2000 years in a matter of 300 pages, speeding through the ages. This book has to answer questions from the first through to the fourth. I hope to have the book fully written in twelve months, but it will be a slow process. It took me 5 years to write book one because, I didn’t have plenty of time and I was working on the characters. I have been brainstorming the Immortal Legacy Series since the beginning. I just have to get the words right.

As I slowly write Book 5, I have to edit the fourth book, make sure that book has no mistakes, remove what is repeated or unnecessary. The book continues from the third book, so I need to make sure that the main characters get their story told.

Every week, I am going to work on the fifth book, writing paragraph by paragraph, and each week, I am going to edit the fourth book until it’s ready to be published. I am hoping that once people have read the first book, they are caught and wish to read more. With Immortal and the Hex and Class of the Immortal available on Amazon. I am hoping that the series will be read through to the end.

Come next month, Class of the Immortal will be out on iTunes and I will get Immortal and the Hex available on paperback. Doing this by myself, I am working solo, I have support from family and friends, but I am taking chances when to do things. I am a work in progress, I hope that by the time the final book is ready to publish, I have being fine-tuned.

New Year, Fresh Start

It’s 2023, the brand new year, a brand new beginning in trying to get my book sold. It’s been 6 months since ‘Immortal and the Hex’ was released on Amazon, and I finally decided to put the book on Goodreads. There it can reach a wider market, and more people will purchase all three books.

While I allow people to slowly come to terms with my series, I will be editing book number 4. It will be a long process. I have over 900 pages to edit and see if I can make it slightly shorter. I hope that in 6 months, I will have the book almost fully edited so I can work on the cover.

My writing style is unique, creative and complicated. I hope when people read the books, they will see the story and enjoy what is being told and take the journey through the written word. I know people won’t like it, or I know that it may look messy to some. I may need to work on it later in life, but the story is being told. Books 1-3 are available, and I hope people will read ‘Age of the Immortal’ without being deterred by the parts they don’t like and read beyond to get to the end.

Happy New Year

Goodbye 2022, the year is over. A brand new will start with new hopes and dreams, new goals and new challenges. I will begin editing the fourth book and work out a cover for it. I will work out prices for the paperback for book 2 and 3. I look forward to new readers, new followers and a bigger audience. Share to your friends, family, co-workers and tell them about Age of the Immortal and the Immortal Legacy series.

New Year’s Eve Fireworks.

New Year's Resolution

As 2022 comes to a close, a new year is not far away, the past few years have been crazy and anything is possible for 2023. This year I have done many things, I thought would be impossible, I graduated in person for the second time; I contacted people overseas to design covers for my book, I spent 3 days editing a book because the original file was lost. I ordered 100 copies of my first book to sell. I had a book launch with a very realistic looking cake. I attended events that have been online due to the pandemic.

I also learned a lot, how to use Instagram, created this very website. I learned that there are good people and then there are scammers when it comes to online activities.

My plans for 2023 are simple, each day I will edit up to 5 pages for Book #4. And each week, I will work on writing pages for the fifth book. When the fourth book is edited, I will get to work on designing the cover. I plan to put ‘Class of the Immortal’ on iTunes in January and organise a paperback version from Amazon for ‘Immortal and the Hex’ sometime before April.

I plan on looking for markets or other ways to sell my physical copies of the first book. I hope that those who have read it will let others know and spread the word so in 2023, the sales will begin to increase.
